I am so thrilled to find out that some pictures of the old farmhouse that we are remodeling in WV and
a few pictures of my decor here in my Va. home are going to be featured in Barbara Rice's new book "Little Samplings" . I am so excited and so humbled to be a part of this wonderful book. There will be 22
featured homes in this book. Barbara is also the author of several books and the "Olden Days magazine".
Reserve your copy now, as there will only be a limited no.of these books published.

I also received my copy of this years Gooseberry Patch Christmas book that I  have a recipe featured in,
this will be my fifth cookbook from Gooseberry Patch that I have a recipe in! And I am thrilled about this as well. I love Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, besides having yummy recipes they have the most beautiful covers, I think that is one reason that I love them so much!!

Tote that I made''

There are so many things that I want to learn to do. I especially want to learn how to quilt, even if I never
make a quilt, I would be thrilled to know how to make wall hangings and quilted table runners.
My one sister and I took a class last week to make a tote. It is supposed to be a simple tote, but
to me it was hard. I am not into making precise crafts. With prims the grubbier the better, and if it isn't perfect, that just makes it more prim.
The class was an all day class, it was alot of fun though and I am quite proud of my tote, and it
was a way for my sister and I to spend some time together.
In a few weeks I am planning on taking a beginners quilting class and making a table runner.
There is so much I want to learn needle punch, cross stitching, rug hooking, basket making,
so this is the beginning of my bucket list of things to do.

I decided to go all out and use beautiful quilt fabic for my tote.

A view of the inside lining and yes a pocket with a ZIPPER.

Awesome Swap!

I am not quite sure how long I have been blogging but it has been a few years now. My very first swap ever was with  Tammy "North Carolina Primitives from the Past" since then we have become very good friends and do a swap with each other at least once a year. Tammy has been such an inspiration to me, and was
always encouraging me and helping me with my crafting. I feel like I probably wouldn't have ever
tried making a bonnet without Tammy backing me up and being my cheerleader. Then I started branching
out and making more things.
Tammy is so talented and constantly spoils me with her primitive creations! One of the things I have planned
on my bucket list is to meet Tammy in person one day! The first thing I want to do is give her a big hug!
Now I will share pictures of the wonderful goodies that Tammy made me. Thank you Tammy, I love everything so much, but most of all I cherish our friendship!!!

Look how Tammy has everything wrapped so lovely!

Wonderful beeskep, watermelon/crow, School daze doll, hook and pods
.

Wonderful Civil War Sam!, he is really awesome!!!

Easy Trail Mix

This week my church is having Bible school and I am in charge of the snacks. I still remember going to bible school when I was growing up. I loved it so much, I can still remember some of the little songs and Bible stories that I learned in Bible school. And one of my favorite parts was the crafts, then it was the things
that were poured in ceramic molds and we would paint them or either things made out of popcicle sticks.
I always enjoyed it so much and now it is my time to help with it and make memories for the little boys and girls growing up now.
I am in charge of the snacks, I can handle that. One of the snacks that we are having is a very simple trail mix,
It only takes 4 ingredients. You get a snack or sandwich bag, for each bag you add 1/4 cup of raisins,
1/4 cup of miniature marshallows, 1/4 cup of pretzels, and 2 Tablespoons of M&M's. Just mix it all together,
and you have a wonderful trail mix, good enough for an adult too.

And just a reminder if you haven't signed up for my giveaway, the drawing will be this Sat.,
please go to the prior post to sign up for that.
