My first Mouse

I decided to try to make a mouser. For being my first attempt I am quite pleased with how she turned out.
I decided to make her on a wool pinkeep. The total mouse is approx. 8" tall. She is wearing a orange, black and yellow plaid dress. She is made from muslin and has felt ears and beaded eyes. Her legs and arms are
rusty nails. She is holding a banner that says BOO. Should you be interested I am asking $32.99 plus traveling fee. She would be great for your fall decor or Halloween. Lecia123@verizon.net
Only one available, asking $29.99 plus traveling fee.

New Penny Rug and Camping trip

I seem to always have to be doing something, I have such a hard time just setting still. We went camping this weekend and I was able to finish a penny rug that I have been working on. I have had the pattern for a couple years and decided to make it, it is a pattern by Brenda Gervais.
My husband, daughter and my daughters two children took a two day trip to  Big Bear Lake, Bruceton Mills, WV. My BIL owns a campsite there, it is really beautiful and he has a slide that goes out into the lake.
I am not much of a camper, and the worst thing to me is going to a bathhouse that is shared by other campers for bathroom needs and showers. Even though I am a country girl I like the comfort of  home.
It was worth the trip though, just seeing all of the fun that my grandkids were having, I enjoyed seeing them
having fun. The lake is such  beautiful area though and I ended up having a good time. I will share a few photo's. Hope everyone is enjoying the summer, it sure is going fast.

New Penny Rug

I made a new penny rug , it is nothing but penny's. I am quite tickled with it.

Ronnie and I spent the other weekend at the farmhouse in WV and after mowing and giving it a good

cleaning we took a drive in the country and ended up going to Dolly Sods a national park,

the landscaping there is much like Canada, and all the tree branches grow to one side.

I have been working on a few fall crafts for next months Early Work Mercantile.

I love things from the garden, even though I don't have a garden I live in an area where

I have the opportunity to get garden food. Yesterday I had fresh green beans with country ham

pieces, fried yellow squash and fresh corn on the cob. I bought the corn off of a local farmer,

while I was there the sweetest lady came up to me and was talking. She recognized me from my blog.

Even though she doesn't have a blog she loves reading them. She was telling me how much she loved

Jean of Prim Crafts blog, Trace, Grannie, Trace and Scraps, Linda, Parkers Paradise and Karen

Of My Colonial Home, We had such a nice conversation, and can you believe that I forgot to ask

her her name, but it was nice talking to you if you read this, and I almost got tears in my eyes when

she told me that she prayers for my daughter. That really touched my heart.

Wishing you all a lovely summer day!

featured homes in this book. Barbara is also the author of several books and the "Olden Days magazine".
Reserve your copy now, as there will only be a limited no.of these books published.

I also received my copy of this years Gooseberry Patch Christmas book that I  have a recipe featured in,

Tote that I made''

There are so many things that I want to learn to do. I especially want to learn how to quilt, even if I never
make a quilt, I would be thrilled to know how to make wall hangings and quilted table runners.
My one sister and I took a class last week to make a tote. It is supposed to be a simple tote, but
to me it was hard. I am not into making precise crafts. With prims the grubbier the better, and if it isn't perfect, that just makes it more prim.
The class was an all day class, it was alot of fun though and I am quite proud of my tote, and it
was a way for my sister and I to spend some time together.
In a few weeks I am planning on taking a beginners quilting class and making a table runner.
There is so much I want to learn needle punch, cross stitching, rug hooking, basket making,
so this is the beginning of my bucket list of things to do.

I decided to go all out and use beautiful quilt fabic for my tote.
