Wonderful Visit and a Snow Day

Yesterday my sweet friend Jean, formally of "Prim Crafts", met for supper and exchanged Birthday gifts. As always Jean spoiled me and gave me way too much. We caught up on the happenings in our lives and laughed and really enjoyed ourselves, but as always are visit went way too fast.
Jean and I actually met through blogging and we had no idea, but we only live 8 miles apart.

Isn't she the cutest bunny girl ever!

Today snowed so I took advantage of having a day off. I worked on a needle punch project
and a Spring wool applique. I also made some homemade cinnamon rolls, I bet it had been
20 years since I last made them. I was afraid I lost the touch, but was quite pleased with how they turned out.

Spring Decor

We are supposed to be getting snow this week, but I still decided to put out some of my Spring decor. I have been so busy, it is hard working two jobs, plus everything else we have to do. I have a wool applique that I want to make for spring and have been working on a needle punch project. My granddaughter is playing basketball so I have been trying to attend some of her games. And of course we are waiting the arrival of Baby Ruby, any day now. Now for some photo's of my decor.

Daughters Baby Shower

Today me and two friends had my daughter a baby shower. We are all excited about baby Ruby
Grace who is due next month.  I made three diaper cakes for the shower as part of the decorations.
I made a diaper cake, and owl since the shower theme was woodland and a sleeping baby
diaper cake.  I made all of these items using baby diapers and other items. The nice thing about
making these things out of diapers is that when you take it  apart everything is used for the baby.
I had fun making these items. I will also share some of the shower photos.

Punched needle project and tote

Today we had a snow day, so I was off from my school job. Boy did I ever get alot accomplished.
I cleaned my house, did laundry, baked cookies, worked on my taxes. But what I was most proud of getting accomplished is that I put a binding around my finished needle punch. It is one in a series of four that I want to make this year. It is , "The Farm Chore" series by Notforgotten Farm. So I have
three more to make. I had made one earlier but decided the colors aren't going to match the other
three so I will make another one in different colors.
I also  made a quilted tote bag,  I was tickles with how it turned out, now I want to make more
in all different colors. It was a fun project, but took much longer than I anticipated.

Wonderful Surprise

Today I received the most wonderful surprise. I entered Lauren of "Rugs and Pugs"

giveaway. She had a four day time limit for the winner to respond. Well I was the winner

and didn't see her post until after the four day limit. It was my fought, so I hope Lauren didn't

feel bad. She send me what she said was a little something. It is a big something to me.

It is a beautiful hooked rug mat. It is so beautiful and is made with such lovely colors.

I am not a rug hooker, but love them. I want to thank Lauren from the bottom of my heart,

for being so thoughtful and kind. And of course I wanted to show off my mat.

You also need to go to Laurens blog and see the wonderful hooked rug she is working on

now. It is gorgeous. Thank you Lauren from the bottom of my heart, I love it!

So many projects

My first project of the year. A needle punch by Lori "Notforgotton Farm"

It is a series of four projects, that you hang on an old broom and feedsack.

Since I work so much my goal is to have the entire series finished this year.

I also have some wool applique projects that I received for Christmas that

I am anxious to make.
