Wonderful Visit

Yesterday I had a sweet visit with Jean "Prim Crafts" . I am so fortunate to have met Jean through blogging.

We didn't know each other before meeting through blogging and we found out that we only live 8 miles apart.

She has become such a wonderful friend. She is always helping me and giving me pointers on crafting.

She brought me the most wonderful Birthday gifts. She brought me a basket that she made from her own

gourds that she grew. The cutest eggs and bunny are in the basket, I just love it!!!

Then she gave me some wonderful patterns, they are all so prim perfect, I can't wait to make them.

Jean and I had the most wonderful visit.

We are hoping one day to go shopping together, go to thrift stores for a day or both. We both were laughing

and said if we spent the  whole day together we would be hoarse by the time we got home from talking  so much

I feel like Jean and I have known each other for ever. She seems like family,

we clicked the day that we met. Stop over at Jeans blog and tell her hello, she

has the kindest heart and is one talented crafter. So glad we're friends Jean, and thank you for

my wonderful Birthday gifts!! I love everything!!!

Surprise in the mail,

Today is my birthday and all I will say is that even if I reverse the numbers, I am still the same age.

I usually get real excited for my Birthday, love receiving cards and feeling special for a day.

But this year is different since loosing my MIL on Wed. I am just going through the motions this year.

But  I did receive an unexpected package in the mail the other day. Isn't it fun to receive

a package when you aren't even expecting one. My sweet friend Mary "Marmmies Mammys and More"

sent me the most adorable bunny. I love bunnies and he is just the cutest! And I just loved the adorable

wrapping paper and tag.  Thank you Mary, I love the bunny and you are a special friend!

Check out Mary's blog, you are in for a treat!

Tribute to my Mother-In-Law

Today is a hard day to even breathe much less think. My dear mother-in-law Judy Stevenson

passed away last night from complications from valve replacement surgery. It is like it isn't real

I go over to her house and see the pictures and hear her laugh, but stop in my tracks and realize it

was only a memory and realize I will never see her again in this life. Her quality of life had gotten

really bad due to needing a heart valve replacement. After many visits and consultations with

Doctors at the University of Virginia hospital, they decided to preform surgery, without it

she would only live a few months. And if the surgery was a success her quality of life would

improve by 75%. The surgery went well but she was never able to breathe on her own and

her organs just started to shut down. Her body just couldn't take anymore.

I had a wonderful mother-in-law, I honestly from the bottom of my heart cannot say one

bad word about my mother-in-law, she totally excepted and loved me for who I was.

She never, I mean never said anything bad about anyone, I can't say that about myself.

She was truly a woman of God.

She was wanting one more chance at life, to enjoy life. Her and her daughters were planning

an Alaskan cruise after she recuperated.  But God saw differently  for some reason and

decided to take her home. I am jealous and want her here. But he wanted her more, I guess.

Rest In Peace Judy I love you, and you will be greatly missed.

I am honored and humbled that Lisa "The Moonlight Stitch"   asked me to do an interview for her blog.

She is interviewing different crafters for her blog. I think that is so sweet of  Lisa to think of

other bloggers and have a page devoted to them. I appreciate you Lisa and I thank you.

Please stop over at Lisa's blog and take a look, she did one awesome job.
