Punched needle project and tote

Today we had a snow day, so I was off from my school job. Boy did I ever get alot accomplished.
I cleaned my house, did laundry, baked cookies, worked on my taxes. But what I was most proud of getting accomplished is that I put a binding around my finished needle punch. It is one in a series of four that I want to make this year. It is , "The Farm Chore" series by Notforgotten Farm. So I have
three more to make. I had made one earlier but decided the colors aren't going to match the other
three so I will make another one in different colors.
I also  made a quilted tote bag,  I was tickles with how it turned out, now I want to make more
in all different colors. It was a fun project, but took much longer than I anticipated.

Wonderful Surprise

Today I received the most wonderful surprise. I entered Lauren of "Rugs and Pugs"

giveaway. She had a four day time limit for the winner to respond. Well I was the winner

and didn't see her post until after the four day limit. It was my fought, so I hope Lauren didn't

feel bad. She send me what she said was a little something. It is a big something to me.

It is a beautiful hooked rug mat. It is so beautiful and is made with such lovely colors.

I am not a rug hooker, but love them. I want to thank Lauren from the bottom of my heart,

for being so thoughtful and kind. And of course I wanted to show off my mat.

You also need to go to Laurens blog and see the wonderful hooked rug she is working on

now. It is gorgeous. Thank you Lauren from the bottom of my heart, I love it!

So many projects

My first project of the year. A needle punch by Lori "Notforgotton Farm"

It is a series of four projects, that you hang on an old broom and feedsack.

Since I work so much my goal is to have the entire series finished this year.

I also have some wool applique projects that I received for Christmas that

I am anxious to make.

Remembering a dear sweet friend

One of my friends Sheila Babneau passed away unexpectantly Jan, 5th. at her home.

She used to have a blog Country Impressions and Seasons of Thy Heart but hadn't

been blogging for awhile. It is such a shock and still not real. Sheila was one of the most

talented ladies that I knew. She had a kind  compassionate heart. Her and I had had

several swaps and had become good friends. Please pray for her family. she is survived

by her husband, 2 children and 2 grandchildren..

                                                                RIP sweet friend

I want to show some of the beautiful arrangements that Sheila made for me over the years.
I will cherish them for ever. I am so thankful that the Lord allowed her to be my friend.

Some of my project

I don't know if you are like me or not but I enjoy making some of my Christmas gifts.
I didn't  show pictures earlier because I was afraid the recipients would see them. Since I am working
two jobs, I had to make most of my gifts during the summer, since one of my jobs is a school nurse, and I am off during the summer.I am already thinking ahead of
what I can make this year. Most things I made I gave away. I want to make myself a few things this year. One of my Christmas gifts was a gripper frame to do needle punch. So I am hoping to make myself something. I also have a few new cross stitch patterns and some wool applique kits.
Just wish I had more time, but if I could work 15 min. each day I know I would be surprised at
what I could get accomplished.
Now to show you some of my work. Wishing everyone a very Happy New Year!
Can't wait to see what projects you will be working on.
And if you could please say a little prayer for me, I am having such a hard time dealing with
my mothers' passing. I miss her so much.
