A few auction finds

My husband works alot of Sat. but he was off this past Sat. The weather was lovely, so we decided
to go to an estate sale. We used to go to them all the time, but rarely go anymore. I had forgotten
how much fun they are and how much fun it was to get out and enjoy a day together.
We bought a few treasures. There was several old quilts made out of
feed sack fabric, we had bidded on several of them, but unfortunately we weren't the high bidder.
But I did get an old cookbook that I have wanted for a while and old pair of glasses and some old postcards and an old razer,  a few treasures.

For the last several years I have bought a container with tulips, they grow in water, the roots are in water. I will show a photo now and then when they bloom.

More quilt photo's!

I have been making a few squares every chance that I get for my quilt. It is a memory quilt in a way.
Most of the fabrics are scraps from my many bonnets that I have made. I also have one square made
from leftover fabrics from the tote bag class I took last summer, and  one square where I  am using the civil war
reproduction fabric from my quilted table runner class that I I also took last summer. I am trying so hard to sew 1/4" seams, but I am not doing very well. So after I finish all of the squares I will just have to
trim off the excess on some and make sure they are all the same size.
I have finished 31 squares and 25 more to go. Wow what a project. So what do you think of my scrap quilt? I hope I get the squares arranged so that the colors blend together.

Computer, Birthday, new Pin Keep, and Quilt progress

I have been MIA for several weeks now, my computer had been in the shop and I finally got it back yesterday. Since I went back to factory system restore I lost all of my patterns and pictures. Thank goodness, a few pictures and a few patterns were saved on a Flash Drive, please don't put off saving your things get a flash drive and save your things today, my pictures esp. are what broke my heart the most loosing them, even though I had alot of money into my patterns.
But I am sick, I am still having pop ups, so it will go back to the shop again, hopefully I can stay in touch a little with my daughers IPad. Computers sure can be a headache and an expense also.
I did seem to get more accomplished when I didn't have my computer. he he I finished my latest pinkeep,
I was able to work on my quilt a little.  I have 10 squares made of the 9 patch which I need to cut and sew into the disappearing 9 patch,
and 10 squares finished of the disappearing 9 Patch, now 36 more squares to go. This is a big project.
I had a birthday on March 16th. and was really spoiled.
My wonderful friend Jean "Prim Crafts" left the most wonderful surprises hanging on my door for my Birthday. She always spoils me rotton.
Beautiful pillows made from her Granmothers fabric

I think this sweet bunny will be added to her pattern line, love her!
