Surprise from a blogging friend!!!!!

Yesterday was my birthday. My Birthdays are more special to me as I get older. I took the day off,

Spent a gift cert. from my husband rode through the country admiring the beauty of Spring. Met my daughter

for lunch and had cake and ice cream with Cole and Riley.  And I received a special surprise package in

the mail from a wonderful friend Sheila "Seasons of thy Heart"     .  She sent me the most wonderful

arrangement, it is beautiful and smells yummy!!! It is extra special because of the label. It has a

prairie bonnet label on it. It is lovely!!! Thank you Sheila, if you know Sheila she has a heart of gold,

and she is always thinking of others before herself. If you have never owned one of Sheila's arrangements

you don't know what you are missing. I love it soooo much!!!!!!!

What a beautiful collection!!!

Uncle Sam dolls

I think I have pretty much made all of the bunnies that I am going to make for this year, I try to think ahead,

so I have finished two Uncle Sam dolls. I used a Bittersweetfolkart Pattern.

I made one a black  and one white. I am quite pleased how they turned out. I used raw sheep wool

for their beards. They are grungy and prim. Pictures don't do justice, they have rusty pins and

bells going down the front of their shirts. (Beards are covering them up.)

Surprise from hubby!

Yesterday my hubby stopped at a yardsale and picked me up a little antique lunch pail for $3.00.

I love it when he thinks of me. I love the lunch pail, I do have another one just like it, that I would never part with,

that was my dad's when he went to school, it touched my heart when my dad gave it to me, he knew

that I loved it and it was so special to him. This is a photo of the one Ronnie gave me

I also wanted to share a picture of Riley my granddaughter, she just recently had to get glasses and

she loves pink, so of course she chose pink frames, isn't she adorable!!
And she is growing up sooo fast. She loves her glasses and couldn't wait to show everyone at school.

I rem. getting glasses in the sixth grade and didn't want to go to school for nothing, but mine were ugly.

So many pretty glasses to choose from now.

New Treasure

I have admired Carol, "Buttermilk Creek Farm". wonderful mice creations for a long time.

I decided to splurge and get myself one of her awesome mice. This one was very tempting, since

I love old Bemis Seamless feedsacks. And this Granny Girt is wearing a feedsack apron.

I love little dilly that granny is holding. Carol puts so much details into her creations.

I love my Granny Girt. Thank you Carol, stop by her blog, she is also hosting a wonderful giveaway

of one of her mice.
