Farmhouse Collection!

I found some wonderful prim fabric for making my bonnets. The fabrics are the same fabric that is found in

the quilt pattern, called "StarDance", these fabrics are tea dyed and look like fabrics of olden days.

I love these bonnets, I call them my "farmhouse collection".  Email me if interested. The 21" ones are $18.00

plus shipping and the 23"-26" ones are $20.00 plus shipping .

A beautiful bonnet!!

I love prairie bonnets, I enjoy making them and when I buy new fabric, I just can't wait to see the end results.

You might say I am obsessed. He He

But I do get tired of the things that I make and love to have things made by someone else.

I did a bonnet swap with Teresa of  http://teresasprimtreasures.blogspot.com//

her bonnets are wonderful. Check out her blog, she makes all kinds of great prims, dolls, penny rug items,

and lots more. Thanks for swapping Teresa, it was so much fun!!!

Surprise in the mail!!!

Yesterday, I was surprised to open my mailbox and find that there was a package for me.

I wasn't expecting anything so I was definately suprised. It was from a great blogging friend, Linda of http://parkersparadise.blogspot.com/

Linda is such a sweetie and makes awesome things, she sent me some of her wonderful prim eggs, I was going around the house and found the perfect wire basket to put them in, they look great. Thank-you Linda, you made my day!!!!

Some things I have made.

I really had a nice couple days off and was doing some crafting. It seems like I stay so busy with working, so I stepped out of my comfort zone and made something besides bonnets. I made an Easter candle mat,
and a table runner. I love how the table runner turned out, I actually got the tutorial from  Julie, it was an older post. http://julie-countrygirlatheart.blogspot.com/  Thank you Julie for sharing this.
If you notice on my table there is a bunny display made by Becky,    http://primitivesnstitchin.blogspot.com/

and the lamp display from Sheila,   http://seasonsofthyheart.blogspot.com/

Julie, Becky and Sheila are so talented, you need to check out their blogs.

Bonnets I have been working on.

I was so excited to have a couple days off, my BF and I were going to Lancaster, Pa. It didn't work out, so we have postponed it until another time, so I decided to do some sewing. Yes bonnets again, I know everyone must be getting tired of them. I just get so excited when I get some new fabric, I can't wait to see the end result. They are alike but different, each time I make one that one  is my new favorite. He He

I have also started working on another slate and candle mat. But guess what came in the mail today, more fabric. He He  And I am getting close to 200 followers, I am thinking about what to have for a giveaway prize. So keep watching.

Think Spring!

Today we are getting snow, but in my mind I am thinking of Spring, of the birds singing and the grass getting green, the little baby calves and lambs hopping around in the fields and of beautiful flowers.

Here is a few pictures of my clematis' that I had last year.
