New Primitives that I have made

We were really fortunate in this part of  Va. we had high winds and rain but thankfully no damage

at my house due to Hurricaine Sandy. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the people effected by Sandy.

School was closed  for two days so I decided to do some sewing. I made Mr. and Mrs.

Santa, I was inspired by a pattern by, "The Goode Wife of Washington County".

I also made a Santa using a "Bittersweetfolkart" Pattern.

I like to add my own touches to patterns, as I am sure most crafters do.

Email me if you are ever interested in anything that I make. FARMHOUSE PRIMS

  1. Glad you are well.I thought you would be getting the snow end there.Cold and blustery here today.Hugs!~Amy

  2. I LOVE what you did with the "Jigs" patterns! Great job!

  3. Love your newest creations Lecia!
So glad to hear everyone is o.k. at your home.
Prayers and thoughts going out to all the people affected by this horrific storm.
    Happy Halloween!
    Prim Blessings

  4. They are all terrific, Lecia! I'm really getting into the mood for Christmas!

  5. So glad to hear that you're safe and sound and experienced no damage due to Sandy. We've been having the high winds and some rain/snow but that's about it, thank goodness. Hard to believe that we felt the tail end of Sandy all the way here in Northern Ontario!!

I LOVE your Mr & Mrs Santa, they're so darling! The other Santa is delightful as well, I'm very much in awe of your work.

Here's a little poem I'm sharing with everyone today...

    This is Halloween

    Goblins on the doorstep,
    Phantoms in the air,
    Owls on witches' gate posts,
    Giving stare for stare.

    Cats on flying broomsticks,
    Bats against the moon,
    Stirring round of fate-cakes,
    With a solemn spoon.

    Whirling apple parings,
    Figures draped in sheets,
    Dodging, disappearing,
    Up and down the streets.

    Jack-o'-lanterns grinning,
    Shadows on a screen,
    Shrieks and starts and laughter--
    This is Halloween!

Happy Halloween to you and yours:-) xo

  6. A good thing to do when the weather is misbehaving. Mr. and Mrs. Santa look mahvelous!

  7. Hi Lecia:

About Me

My photo
I have been married to my sweetheart Ronnie for 30 years. We live in the beautiful shenandoah valley of Va. We have 2 beautiful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I am a christian, and am blessed with two wonderful jobs. I am a hairdresser and also a nurse, I am proud of my nursing degree which I got at age 47. I give the Lord much praise for this. I also enjoy primitive crafts, antiquing, cooking, reading and gardening. My husband and I bought an old farmhouse in WV five years ago and it was ancient, floor rotted out in the kitchen, no bathroom, bats flying around, mice. Scary, well now five years later we have most of it completed, working now on a roof for the wrap around porch. We sand blasted some of the walls so they would be original, we also took all the old weatherboarding off of the outside of the house, planed it and put it back on some of the inside walls. We also have added a wrap around porch. Since we have remodled the old farmhouse, that is how I came up with my blog name.
