It seems like the Red Truck decor is very popular again this year. I decided to make a wreath with the red truck theme. I am proud of how it turned out. Pictures just don't to justice. Next I will be making a Nativity Wreath, I will share pictures when it is complete.

This is my version of, "It's a Crock"

Things recently made

With working two jobs and grandbabies I don't have much time for crafting anymore, but I would like to share a few things that I was able to finish in the last several months.

Kitchen, a long time coming

I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted. But I did want to show my remodeled kitchen. I have wanted a remodeled kitchen for years, I had this old 27inch brown stove that just wouldn't break. he he The bad thing is now stoves are approx. 30 inches. To get one to fit in the space would have cost $1500 and it would have been one with burners, I wanted a flat top stove. Well what should have been a couple weeks ended up taking almost 5 months. I got most of my things from Lowes and I will say the young man that helped me was wonderful. The problem was ordering a special counter top for the huge island. It had to be custom made and it had flaws in it 3 times. Each time it was special ordered it would take 6 weeks or longer to come in, And what a mess, I don't know if you have ever knocked out a wall, but even covering up things there was dirt and dust everywhere. I was working 2 jobs and trying to deal with this. But finally it is over and I am so proud of the finished kitchen. I will share a few pictures. My son did the remodeling work, so that makes my kitchen extra special. My poor son though, I was wanting the walls to be some sort of grey, it would either be purple looking or too light. My son painted the walls 3 times until I found the color I wanted. It is called stone harbor greige, between a grey and a beige. I love the color.  To me a lady needs a nice kitchen, the kitchen is the heart of the home. I will put some before and after photo's.

Summer tyme

As most of you know I work two jobs, and my school nurse job gives me a break in the Summer, so I have projects, projects, projects that I want to do. I have several wool applique, cross stitch and sewing things that I want to do. Plus declutter my house and do some family fun things. I want to show you two of the new candle boxes that I just got. Love, love, love them. I bought 3 battery operated candles from walmart for $3 and used them in the boxes. Aren't these just the cutest.

As I decorate for Summer I put out two of my favorite Americana cross stitch things that I have made.

Finished Project

I really love wool applique. I recently finished a wool applique project that I am quite proud of. It is a large project. The pattern is call, "A Gentle Life" by "Threads that bind". It is huge 7"x36".
I am finding that I am decorating my home with things that I have made, and down sizing some of my primitive collection.

Finished project

I am so thrilled to show you my finished punch needle project. It is called, "Farm Chores", a Notforgotten farm pattern.
I am not the greatest at punch needle. but find it is getting a little easier with each project.
This project took me a year to complete. And I am one of these persons that always has about 3 projects going at once.
I hung this on an old feed sack, you can still see the old stains and wear of the feedsack and a
childs broom. Actually my children played with this broom when they were small.
I am so proud and pleased to finally have this project completed. What do you think?
