Awesome Read

I was given a free book to read by Bethany House. My only requirement is to give an honest book review. I was given the book, "The Sound of Rain", by Sarah Loudin Thomas. I just love this author,
this book was totally awesome. I just couldn't put it down.
It was dear to my heart, because I grew up in WV and also have taken family vacations to Myrtle Beach, SC.
The story takes place in the 1950's. It centers around a young coal miner Judd Markley, who
was in a coal mining accident in which his younger brother was killed and he was badly injured.
Judd has heard that there is work in timber in SC. So he decides to go there for work.
The other character Larkin Heyward, is a well to do girl from Myrtle Beach, SC. But has always had dreams of helping poor Appalachia children from Kentucky.
Drawn together in the wake of Hurricane Hazel that changes Myrtle Beach forever. Will their different dreams draw them together or tear them apart?
You will have to read the book to find out. I recommend this book highly!!! You won't be dissapointed!!

Fun Trip!!!

Thur. Oct. 26th. was a bittersweet day, it was the one year anniversary date of my moms passing. My life will never be the same, how do I go on. I have no choice I have to go on. I miss my mom so much.I took a personal day off from school on Thur. and Friday was a teachers work day so  my best friend Shelia, and my three sisters and I took a road trip to Lancaster, Pa. We had a wonderful time as usual. We went shopping in many wonderful shops. We ate lots of comfort foods and on the way home we stopped in Chambersburg, Pa. at Grantstreet woolworks and visited that wonderful shop. I forgot to take a picture of the van we were in, how packed we had it, but I will share some pictures of our trip and some of my awesome finds.

Fun Wreath

I was wanting a new wreath and was checking them out on different sites. They were $50 and up for what I was wanting. I wanted a bigger full wreath.
I watched several videos on you tube on making dollar tree wreaths.  I did find out that if you see the deco mesh at dollar tree, you better buy it that day or it will be sold out. I got some of the deco mesh at dollar tree and the ribbon and the sign in the middle of the wreath.
I had some leftover burlap that I had in my stash and bought a big roll of deco mesh at Michaels.
I probably have $20 in my finished wreath.
I would like to show my finished wreath. It is amazing all of the things you can learn on you tube.

Fun Day!!

Today my one sister Lina and I were fortunate to be able to attend the  "Gathering Of Friends", show
at Notforgotten Farm .
Located in Amhurst, Va. It was beautiful at the farm, and there were many awesome crafters there.
We were also able to visit Lori's shop that has many of her creations on display.
Afterwards we ate lunch at Cracker Barrel and we have no idea who it was, but someone paid for
our meal. Such a blessing! That really touched my heart! To think that a complete stranger would do that.  We bought coffee mugs there, since we are both Grandma's the coffee mugs were so appropriate. I will show a few photo's. Such a blessed day.
