Pa. trip cut short

I get so excited in the fall because me, my best friend and two of my sisters go to Lancaster, Pa.
We were planning on spending two nights and also go to an Amish show, "Josiah for President".
But due to the possibility of hurricane Joaquin hitting the east coast, we only were able to spend one night. It was a quick trip, we didn't get to near all of the shops we were hoping to. And due to the rain, you didn't see many amish out in their buggies or working in their fields.

But we did shop a little, eat alot, talk alot and laugh alot. It was a wonderful refreshing trip, just wish it could have lasted longer.( But I am thankful for the safe trip and that all we got here where we live is rain from the hurricane).

I will show a few of my goodies that I was able to get. I was thrilled to be able to get an Arnett snowman, I have always wanted one. The shop I got him in was run by amish, they had lots of snowmen, but no Arnett Santa's, I know that is due to their religion and that they don't tell their children there is a santa. I could tell the amish girl loved my snowman, and they had
many of them throughout their store, it was hard picking one.

My snowman

Hanging chicken wire lamp

Love this rug, "To Grandmother's House we go"

New candles

Harvest banner, I got a Christmas one also.

New Calendar
Me, my friend Shelia and my sisters, Lena and Lina, can you tell they are twins.

Wanted to also show you my recent needle punch project, my husband made the
cutting board for me, I tried to distress it, I am proud of how our project turned out.

Sorry your trip got cut short, but it sounds like you had a great time anyway! Love your new snowman and other goodies, I wish I could smell the candles. Shopping is the best. ;) I love how your board turned out. I have one too for cross stitch, but I forgot to stain it! whoops. It's a gift, so they can stain it when they get it if they want I suppose. Ha.
