May offerings at Early Work Mercantile

Hope all my blogger friends have been doing well. We are getting my mom all settled at home.
She is walking with a walker and improving with each passing day, we are expecting her to have a full recovery. She can already touch her head with the arm she had surgery on, she was never expected to
be able to lift her arm that high. So we are thankful that mom is home and she is enjoying every minute of it and
doing well.it has been a long hard road for her. Thanks for your prayers!

I have several items listed for the month of May on the
"Early Work Mercantile" site. Please stop by and take a peek, wishing you all a lovely spring.

Downsizing!

I wish I had all of the money I have spent on primitive dolls over the years, they are my weakness.
My style is changing so I have several dolls that I am going to part with. These dolls were just used for
display purposes only, so I would call them gently used, in new condition.
The dolls that I am listing have been stored in a plastic tote, my home is also smoke free.
I have alot of money in these dolls but of course since they aren't new, I can't ask what I paid
or what they are worth to me.

If you are interested in any please email me at Lecia123@verizon.net. I accept paypal and MO.

Miss Florence came to my house today!

I was thrilled to be the lucky winner of  "Primitives By Olde Lady Morgan"  giveaway.

Florence is quite adorable, and she is wearing the cutest little baby shoe.

Marie also sent along the cutest bunny.  As you know Marie is one talented artist and has

had many of her dolls shown on "Prims" magazine. So I am honored and thrilled to be

able to give  Florence a good home. Thank you Marie, I love my new prims. And most of

all thank you for being a wonderful friend.

If you don't know Marie please stop by her blog and tell her hello.

New bonnets

I did want to let you know that I made two more of the quilted brim bonnets. I had made two of these
red bonnet and sold
them right away. They are made from a reproduction quilt fabric. Bonnets  inspired by a "Pilgrims and
Pioneers" pattern.  I am asking $20.99 plus traveling fee.
Email me at "Farmhouse Prims" if interested. I also have a few other colors available that are on a prior post.

I have been making a few things for next months Early Work Mercantile update, I will say  I am excited
with how everything is turning out. I will show pictures later.

Good news finally about my mom, she went to her Dr. at Charlottesville this past Wed. Her physician is
happy with how her arm and leg are healing. So Thur. was the first time in 3 months that she was allowed
to put full weight on her leg and she couldn't even use a walker because of her broken arm.
She walked from PT to her room which was quite a distance. One of the screws is coming out of her
leg, which they say is no big deal, but I think they should have removed it that day, it is bothering her.
They are just watching it for now.

Mom has had such a good attitude, I would be whining the blues everyday if I had gone though all that she has. Her release date is scheduled for April 24th. That will be 100 days in the skilled nursing facility.
And my poor dad, he has made the trip everyday from WV to visit her, except for 3 days due to bad weather.

All I can say is what a year,  Whoooooo

I did want to mention also, that awhile back I was one of the lucky winners of the etsy folkart and primitive
giveaway that they sponsored, I showed  my winnings in a prior post, I did receive a beautiful saltbox
kitchen towel from Darla "Chestnut Valley"
check out her etsy shop, she does beautiful work, thank you Darla, I love it!

I am always changing something I have an open LR and one side I had painted Mocha and the other

side butternut, I got tired of the butternut and decided to do it all mocha and go back to the white trim.

I also stained the beams. I will show a few pictures. I love the lowes Valspar paint, hope I have it spelled

correctly, it has the primer and paint in one. And the curtains and shower curtain. are from Victorian Heart Co.

Also when I was taking pictures of my swap thing fromSara "Salmon Fall Prims"

I didn't show a very good picture of this cute beeswax ornie that Sara gave me, it is a bunny

riding a chicken. I just thought it was so adorable. I love him, she also sent a lamb one and

pantry cake that I love. Thank you Sara.

I hope everyone had a blessed Easter, we attended Easter Sunrise Service, which

is always such a blessing to me and had breakfast afterwards. Then my Daughter had

us over for dinner, my SIL's parents were there and we had a wonderful time.

I really enjoy giving my grandchildren their little gifts for Easter, I just found pretty

Easter gift bags with cute handles to put their goodies in this year. I had to give Jake his

gift early since he was spending Easter with his mom. But wanted to show pictures

of them opening their gifts.
