Working on Winter items and Christmas gifts!

I have decided to make some of my Christmas gifts this year. I have made 12 of these snowmen hats.

I am quite pleased with how they have turned out. But wow what a process. I bought tea lights and grunged

them myself. I know my mom and sisters will love these. I also have a friend who collects Santa's.

I just haven't been spending much time on the computer lately. A lady is letting me put some of my things in

her shop and is having open house Nov. 10th. so I am busy making some snowmen and santa's for that.

It is so hard to find time to craft when you work alot, so I am using every spare minute that I have for

crafting. Here are some photo's of my hats, The pattern is a Country Whims pattern.

The finished product!

My grubbied tea lights.

My hats in progress.

Love the santa hats and the grungy tea lights, I can smell them now. Did you also make the card on top of the cello bags too? Very creative.
Glad you are getting to put these in for the open house. I know they will be a hit.

  10. We just drew names for Christmas with my family. Can I add your name..and be sure you draw mine, lol! I love your hats. I so understand about working so much. I work full time...four days a week(although some may say thats NOT full time)..plus raise my little boy on my own. Not to mention the big boys too. I am so tired..I've only made a few little things...but really found them enjoyable...and relaxing! Take a deep breath my friend. Try and take care of you!! (I know, as a nurse and a woman...it's in our nature to care for everyone else first!)

About Me

My photo
I have been married to my sweetheart Ronnie for 30 years. We live in the beautiful shenandoah valley of Va. We have 2 beautiful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I am a christian, and am blessed with two wonderful jobs. I am a hairdresser and also a nurse, I am proud of my nursing degree which I got at age 47. I give the Lord much praise for this. I also enjoy primitive crafts, antiquing, cooking, reading and gardening. My husband and I bought an old farmhouse in WV five years ago and it was ancient, floor rotted out in the kitchen, no bathroom, bats flying around, mice. Scary, well now five years later we have most of it completed, working now on a roof for the wrap around porch. We sand blasted some of the walls so they would be original, we also took all the old weatherboarding off of the outside of the house, planed it and put it back on some of the inside walls. We also have added a wrap around porch. Since we have remodled the old farmhouse, that is how I came up with my blog name.
