My new shelf from Firecracker Kid

Carol "Firecracker Kid"  and I did a swap. I had a really hard time deciding what I wanted because,

Carol and her hubby make the most awesome woodcrafts and I just want everything.

I especially love kitchen shelves, cabinets and kitchen decor, but I don't have any wall space left.

I decided on a shelf with a peg rack. I was going to put it in my hair salon, but decided that it was so

beautiful that I wanted it somewhere, where I could see it everyday and enjoy it.

And she also sent the cutest wool pin keep, it is beautiful. Thank you Carol, I love everything,

you are awesome!!!!

  13. Great swap!
I've seen Carol's work and it's all just wonderful...I can see why it was difficult to choose....but you chose well.
And...you have it decorated so nicely.
I too have NO wall space for things and what I do have up I don't want to replace so I don't buy wall decor much at all any more....it has to be VERY SPECIAL IF I DO.

    Blessings,
    Karen

cupboard. I didn't know Carol stitched. That pinkeep is
really beautiful. I love it! What a great swap.

  17. Well, thanks to all you ladies for your kind compliments. I can't take credit for the pin keep though. I really love seeing our woodcrafts in someone else's home as they always look so different and awesome than they do in mine. You've really decorated it nicely Lecia:-) Thanks sweetie!

About Me

My photo
I have been married to my sweetheart Ronnie for 30 years. We live in the beautiful shenandoah valley of Va. We have 2 beautiful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I am a christian, and am blessed with two wonderful jobs. I am a hairdresser and also a nurse, I am proud of my nursing degree which I got at age 47. I give the Lord much praise for this. I also enjoy primitive crafts, antiquing, cooking, reading and gardening. My husband and I bought an old farmhouse in WV five years ago and it was ancient, floor rotted out in the kitchen, no bathroom, bats flying around, mice. Scary, well now five years later we have most of it completed, working now on a roof for the wrap around porch. We sand blasted some of the walls so they would be original, we also took all the old weatherboarding off of the outside of the house, planed it and put it back on some of the inside walls. We also have added a wrap around porch. Since we have remodled the old farmhouse, that is how I came up with my blog name.
