Surprise Package!!

Today I received two packages in the mail. I will show pictures of one package today and the other one

tomorrow. This package was a surprise and it was from a very sweet lady , Linda, Parkers Paradise

Linda has one of the biggest hearts and is one of the kindest persons that I have ever met.

Thank you Linda, for surprising me, I love my goodies!

Wow, look at all of this, I am in awe of all of this!!!!

Look at this wonderful old sewing basket filled with old sewing notions. ( Look at the  needle pack, the old tape measure and other goodies),. she also included a quilting book.

I wanted you to see some of the prices on the threads, but they aren't showing up too well. There is some for 29 cents, some for 35 cents. Wow

More thread and an awesome americana tissue holder.

I kept thinking what awesome thing can I do with all of this beautiful thread, I saw one of my old green canning jars and it hit me, doesn't it look awesome in the jar!!!!
Thank you Linda, I love my goodies!!!

  7. Hi Lecia! What lovely goodies you received! Lucky you. I love the idea of storing all those old spools of thread in a jar. I have a lot of old spools from my grandmother's things, and a nice big jar too, so tomorrow I'm going to do just that - Enjoy your surprises!

  10. Linda sure has spoiled a few gals! She sounds like a very dear lady. I love the old threads and notions-I have some my MIL gave me years ago that I won't use but need to do something with like put in a shadow box or something. She at one time had her own upholstery business in her home.
    Blessings,
    Sheila

About Me

My photo
I have been married to my sweetheart Ronnie for 30 years. We live in the beautiful shenandoah valley of Va. We have 2 beautiful children and 3 beautiful grandchildren. I am a christian, and am blessed with two wonderful jobs. I am a hairdresser and also a nurse, I am proud of my nursing degree which I got at age 47. I give the Lord much praise for this. I also enjoy primitive crafts, antiquing, cooking, reading and gardening. My husband and I bought an old farmhouse in WV five years ago and it was ancient, floor rotted out in the kitchen, no bathroom, bats flying around, mice. Scary, well now five years later we have most of it completed, working now on a roof for the wrap around porch. We sand blasted some of the walls so they would be original, we also took all the old weatherboarding off of the outside of the house, planed it and put it back on some of the inside walls. We also have added a wrap around porch. Since we have remodled the old farmhouse, that is how I came up with my blog name.
